Our beef mince is made using a mix of primal muscles from our grassfed meat. It contains ONLY meat – no ice or other products usually used by butchers to “extend” their products.This means when you cook our grassfed mince you will have a lot less “liquid” and more meat to enjoy. We use a medium grind but can on order do a coarse mince or very fine mince. Let us know if you would like a special grind size.

We treat our mince with the same care as we do our meat. Mince is NOT the dumping site for whatever is left over with Braeside. We carefully select cuts which are then minced x 2 to give a medium grind and that is an 80/20 (meat to fat ratio). We do not use the old butchers trick of adding ice to bulk up the mince. We also do not ever use any colourants, shelf extenders or other chemicals that keep the mince red. The result is that our mince turns a dark red to light brown as the meat oxidizes but when cooked you get to eat what you bought without the extra water and fat that ends up down the drain.
